Veritas University Library will host another practical training session focused on improving the ability of students, researchers and faculty to discover and use library information resources.
The session will provide hands-on demonstrations of the Veritas University Institutional Repository and Online Public Access Catalogue.
Participants will learn practical search techniques, repository navigation, collection discovery, document retrieval and strategies for identifying relevant scholarly resources.
The training will also demonstrate how the University's repository contributes to the preservation, organisation and dissemination of institutional research outputs.
Users will be encouraged to explore the relationship between the physical library collection represented through the OPAC and the University's growing digital scholarly collection represented through the Institutional Repository.
The session forms part of the Library's continuing information-literacy and digital-library awareness programme.
